Can Reiki help me with stress or emotional healing? Many people experience deep relaxation, emotional balance, and stress relief through Reiki healing. While results can vary, clients often report a greater sense of peace, clarity, and well-being after a Reiki session.
-
Is there a consultation before the Reiki session?Yes. During your initial visit, you'll have a 10–15 minute consultation with your practitioner. This allows us to understand your needs, intentions, and any areas you'd like to focus on during the session. It also gives you an opportunity to ask questions and feel comfortable before we begin.
-
Do I remain fully clothed during a Reiki session?Yes, you stay fully clothed throughout the session. Reiki is a non-invasive, gentle practice performed without the need to remove any clothing. You’ll lie down comfortably, and we can provide a blanket to keep you warm and relaxed during the session.
-
How many Reiki healing sessions will I need to feel better?Every person is different. Many clients feel a noticeable shift after just one session, while others may benefit from a series of 2–4 sessions for deeper or ongoing concerns. Often, we can better assess this after your first session, based on how you respond. Ultimately, the decision is yours—we’ll always support what feels right for your journey.
-
What if I want to learn more about Reiki before committing to a course? You're very welcome to join one of our introductory talks. These are open, informal gatherings where you can learn about Reiki, ask questions, and even experience a short session at the end. It’s a great way to explore Reiki in a relaxed setting before deciding to enrol. You can find upcoming dates and details on our Events page.
-
Can I enroll in a Reiki beginner course if I have never experienced Reiki before?Absolutely. Our Reiki Level I course is designed for complete beginners. No prior experience with Reiki or any other healing modality is necessary. Many students are drawn to Reiki through intuition or curiosity—this is often the beginning of a powerful personal journey.
-
Are there any prerequisites for the Reiki I course? The only prerequisites are an open mind, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to practice. Reiki is accessible to everyone, regardless of background or belief system.
-
Will I be able to practice Reiki right after the course?Yes, absolutely. Students begin practicing Reiki during the workshop itself. After the course, you are encouraged to continue practicing daily to build confidence, deepen your connection with the energy, and support your personal healing journey.
-
How is Reiki taught? Is it hands-on?Yes, Reiki is a hands-on healing practice. Our classes combine theory with practical experience, including live demonstrations, guided meditations, and opportunities to practice giving and receiving Reiki under the guidance of a certified teacher.
-
What will I be able to do with Reiki after the beginner (Level I) course? After completing Reiki Level I, your main focus will be on self-healing and personal practice. However, you’ll also be able to share Reiki with family, friends, pets, plants, and even nature (like trees). This level helps you build a strong foundation and deepen your connection to the Reiki energy in everyday life.
-
Will I learn about chakras in this course? No, our course is based on the traditional Japanese Usui Reiki system, which is not built around the chakra model. Instead, it is based on an intuitive and holistic approach, focusing on the mind, body, emotions, and soul as interconnected aspects of healing. However, if you're familiar with chakras and prefer to incorporate them into your practice, you're welcome to do so. The chakra system is more commonly emphasised in Western-style Reiki, and we respect each practitioner's unique path.
-
Can I join Reiki Level II or III at your school if I completed previous training with another teacher?Yes, you are welcome to join. We recognise that students come from a variety of Reiki backgrounds. At the beginning of each course, we review foundational concepts to ensure everyone is on the same page and to create a unified learning experience for the entire group.
-
Are there any prerequisites for the advanced Reiki training? To join Reiki Level II, you should complete at least a 21-day self-practice period after your Reiki I attunement. This helps integrate the energy and deepen your personal experience. For the Reiki Master (Level III) course, we recommend a period of 6 to 12 months of dedicated practice following Reiki II. This allows time for deeper integration, personal growth, and readiness for the more advanced teachings.
-
How do I know when I’m ready to move to the next Reiki level?Reiki is a spiritual practice, not a race—there’s no fixed timeline. Progressing to the next level is a deeply personal decision. It’s less about time and more about self-awareness. You’ll often feel a natural sense of readiness—an inner calling—to continue your journey. Trust that feeling, and let your intuition guide you.
-
Do I receive a certificate immediately after completing Reiki Level II training? Not immediately. After the training, you’ll be asked to complete a series of case studies to demonstrate your understanding and practical application of Reiki. Once these are reviewed and approved, you’ll receive your Level II certification. For well-organised and committed students, this process typically takes 2 to 3 months.
-
What level of Reiki training do I need to become a professional practitioner or add Reiki to my existing holistic practice? To practice Reiki professionally or integrate it into your existing holistic therapies, you need to have completed at least Reiki Level II. This certification enables you to obtain Public Liability Insurance specifically for Reiki, or to add Reiki to your existing coverage if you’re already insured as a therapist.
-
Can I join a Reiki share if I haven’t learned Reiki yet?Reiki shares are intended for Reiki practitioners only—those who have received at least a Level I attunement. These gatherings provide a space to practice, learn, and grow together in a supportive community. If you're new to Reiki, we warmly encourage you to start with a beginner course so you can join future shares with confidence.
-
Can I join a Reiki share if I trained with a different teacher or school?Yes, you are welcome to join our Reiki share as long as the event is not specifically marked for our school’s students only. We value community and shared growth, and Reiki practitioners from all lineages are usually welcome unless otherwise noted in the event description.
-

Whether you’re newly attuned to Reiki Level I or a Master practitioner, you’re invited to join and share in the experience. Reiki shares are about community, connection, and ongoing practice—regardless of where or with whom you trained.
