Maija Kovalevska is the founder and head teacher of Healing Hands Edinburgh the Reiki school. A Reiki practitioner for over 16 years and teacher for more than 9, she has guided students through all levels of Usui Reiki, including her signature Teacher Training programme.

She has trained hundreds of students, many of whom now practice professionally, and mentored eight Reiki teachers who have established their teaching practices. Known for her grounded and mindful approach, Maija weaves life energy awareness, mindfulness, and self-reflection into her teaching to help students reconnect with themselves and find resilience in daily life.

Her blog has been recognised among the Top 15 Reiki Blogs in the UK in 2025, and she has been featured in Touch magazine. Alongside leading the school, Maija also shares her knowledge through workshops, community events, and speaking engagements.

In addition to leading the school, Maija is also a speaker in the holistic field, sharing her knowledge through talks and workshops in the UK and Europe.
