Healing Hands Edinburgh is the main centre of the school, where Reiki training, healing sessions and community practice are offered.

Classes and sessions take place at St. Margaret’s House on London Road, a dedicated Reiki practice space in Edinburgh providing a calm and structured environment for learning and personal development.

Here you can learn all levels of Usui Reiki training, receive individual Reiki healing sessions, and join our Reiki Share gatherings to continue developing your practice within a supportive community.

Maija Kovalevska is the founder and head teacher of Healing Hands Edinburgh, a Reiki school based in Edinburgh.

A Reiki practitioner for over 16 years and a teacher for more than 9 years, she guides students through all levels of the Original Usui Reiki System, including her Reiki Teacher Training programme.

Born and raised in Riga, Latvia, Maija has lived in the UK since 2010. Her professional background includes work as a massage therapist in a chiropractic clinic, which shaped her grounded, body-based approach to wellbeing and energy practice.

Since establishing the school in 2017, Maija has trained hundreds of students, many of whom now practise professionally. She has also mentored Reiki teachers who have gone on to establish their own teaching practices.

Her teaching integrates life energy awareness, mindfulness, and self-reflection to help students develop presence, resilience, and a deeper connection to everyday life.

Alongside leading the school, Maija is also the founder of Grounded Energies — a platform for educational talks on self-awareness, wholeness, and conscious living.
